Cheddar's is closing!

My favorite restaurant in Rockford...Cheddar's...is closing tomorrow. I have spent the last 3 nights enjoying their great food with my friends. Cheddar's has been the place of many good and fun memories for us of get togethers, good talks, birthday parties and even a few bachlorett parties. Wednesday night I went with Beth not knowing anything was happening just to get a cookie monster and spend some time catching up. When we got the news the restaurant was closing we both started feeling very depressed. So to make it up, I decided to call another friend Michelle and go Thursday night for another cookie monster. I didn't get any pictures of Beth and I, but here a few from Michelle and my night. If you have never had a cookie monster, you are missing out!!! It is a big warm cookie with ice cream, hot fudge, sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry...yummmmm! This one is half eaten.
Us enjoying our wonderful cookie monster
Michelle was getting sad that is was almost gone
Now we are both sad because that would be the last cookie monster we would get to share together.
Tonight I took Grandma there for dinner and went all out (I had a gift card I had to use). We both got a good meal and then finished it off with...yes...another cookie monster (my very last one)! I am going to miss that place!

Jazz's trip outside

Today Shelley and I decided to try to to take Jazz outside for a few minutes. Shelley had been putting the leash on him in the apartment just to get him used to it and he was doing very good with it.
At first he was a little scared with all the new surroundings, but he soon got more comfortable after exploring a little.
Bella couldn't figure out why Jazz wasn't as playful as he is in the apartment.
The trip outside ended when he started to leap over a bush and his collar came unsnapped. That scared Shelley and me enough to cut the fun there. I think we need to get him a harness for next time.

Diaper Cake

I decided to make a diaper cake for Shannon's shower. It was a little work, but so much fun to make and to give. I made it a while ago and could hardly stand to wait to give it to her.

Just thought I would show off some of my creativity. It doesn't happen alot! :)

Baby shower!

Today was Shannon's baby shower at Josh's mom's house. It was alot of fun and good food! Here are some pictures from the day:
Lydia was so excited to get in the swimming pool, but once she got in with Victoria she didn't want to go in the water. I think the water was really cold!
Enjoying her Cracker Jacks and Juice in her own little chair. It was a baseball theme so we had peanuts and Cracker Jacks to snack on.
We all really enjoyed seeing Rich and Louise!
Grandma (Josh's mom) had a lawn mower that blew bubbles out the side!
Shane (Josh's brother) was blowing really big bubbles and Lydia liked it when he would catch them and let her pop them.
Playing catch with Daddy
Her cheering section and personal photographer :)
Then Uncle Shane and Rich joined in. She loved playing with that big of a group.
Worked up an apatite with all that swimming and playing.
The cute (and delicious) cake!

Reading the book that Grandma (my mom) sent. She wanted to read it right away so Shannon shortened it up a little so she could get on with the rest of the gifts.

Opening gifts!

We had alot of fun and if you want to see more pictures I am sure Shannon's blog will have more.
