Lydia's 3rd Birthday!

Tonight was Lydia's 3rd birthday party and we had so much fun!  I can't believe she is 3!!!!!  I went over to Shannon's to help with Joshua while she decorated the cakes for the party.  Joshua got a hold of some tin foil and loved it.
Once Lydia got up from her nap she was so excited to see what her mom had been doing.
It was nice to have everyone together for the party.   Grandma doesn't get out to Shannon's house very often so she really enjoyed seeing Joshua.  This picture was taken by Lydia...that is why Grandma's head is cut off :)
I had to trick Lydia into getting her picture taken.  I told her that she could take a picture with my camera if she let me take a picture of her.
She was very agreeable after that!   :)
Josh had put up lots of decorations all over!  It was very festive looking.
The castle cake that Shannon worked so hard on.  It was really cool looking (and yummy)!
The princess cake that Lydia requested.  Pink cake with a blue dress.
Rich and Louise with Joshua.  It was also very nice to see them!
Lydia showing off her cakes and balloon.
We had home made chili, chicken noodle soup and salad!  Yummmm!
Everyone enjoying food and company in the basement.
Time for gifts!!!  Books and clothes from Grandma and Grandpa (we missed you mom and dad)!
Doctor's set from her mommy and daddy
A home made puppet from Great Grandma and Grandpa
A princess bike from Grandpa and Grandma Nordgren
A baby My Little Pony from Great Grandma
I got her a froggy tent.  She got very excited when her mommy told her it was from me :)
Cake time!
I think she really enjoyed having everyone sing to her and she knew right what to do with the candles
Grandpa Jim with Joshua
I was playing with Joshua trying to get him to roll over.
The froggy tent all set up!
I think she really liked it!
Ok...this was funny!  Lydia was too busy playing with her new toys and didn't want any cake, but after almost everyone left and things calmed down she was ready to enjoy her princess cake!  She is so cute!

I think she really enjoyed her birthday!  It gets more and more fun every year with her understanding more of what is going on.
